Tripshaper respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Tripshaper platform (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Tripshaper is operated from California, United States.
1 — Overview
Tripshaper is a digital travel discovery and booking communication platform. We collect only the data necessary to:
- Operate the platform
- Enable communication between travelers and providers
- Create and manage booking requests
- Store reservation details
- Maintain system reliability
- Improve security
- Prevent fraud and abuse
Tripshaper:
- May store booking and reservation information
- Does not process travel payments directly
- Does not hold traveler funds unless explicitly stated
- Does not act as a travel agency or tour operator
All payments for travel services occur directly between Users and Providers unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2 — Information We Collect
We collect limited categories of information necessary to operate the Service.
A — Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Username
- Email address
- Optional profile details
- Account creation date
- Authentication identifiers from an OAuth provider when you choose third-party sign-in
B — Google Sign-In Information
Google Sign-In is optional. If you choose it, Google sends Tripshaper a signed identity credential. Tripshaper’s authentication code uses:
- Your stable, unique Google account identifier
- Your verified Google account email address
- Your public Google profile name
We use this information only to:
- Create, connect, and sign in to your Tripshaper account
- Confirm that Google has verified your email address
- Prevent duplicate or improperly linked accounts
- Suggest a Tripshaper username, which you may change before creating an account
- Protect account and platform security
Tripshaper stores the Google account identifier and verified email address with your Tripshaper account for as long as the account remains active, subject to the retention and deletion provisions below. Your Google profile name is used to suggest a username and is not automatically stored as your Tripshaper profile name unless you choose that suggestion.
A Google identity credential may also contain a profile photo or Google Workspace domain. Tripshaper does not use or store those fields.
Tripshaper does not receive your Google password and does not request separate access to Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other Google account content.
We do not sell, rent, or share Google identity information with advertisers. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions, or training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. It may be processed by service providers that operate Tripshaper’s hosting and security infrastructure, solely to provide and protect the Service, or disclosed when required by law.
C — Provider Information
Providers may submit publicly visible information, including:
- Business name
- Service description
- Location
- Contact details
- Pricing information
- Photos and media
- External links
Providers are responsible for ensuring accuracy of their listings. All provider content may be publicly visible.
D — Booking and Reservation Information
When users create booking requests or reservations, Tripshaper may collect and store booking-related information, including:
- Traveler name
- Contact information
- Reservation dates
- Number of travelers
- Requested services
- Provider identification
- Booking status information
- Special requests
- Cancellation or modification records
Booking information is used solely to:
- Transmit reservation details to providers
- Maintain reservation records
- Enable communication between travelers and providers
- Provide booking history access
- Support dispute resolution
- Improve platform reliability
Tripshaper does not process payment information unless explicitly stated.
E — Messages and Communications
When users contact providers or communicate through the platform, we may store:

- Sender and recipient information

- Delivery status
Messages are stored only to:
- Deliver communications
- Maintain message history
- Detect abuse or fraud
F — Technical Information
We automatically collect limited technical data, including:

G — Location Information
Tripshaper does not collect precise GPS location. General geographic location may be inferred from:

Tripshaper does not collect:

Tripshaper does not process travel payments unless explicitly stated. All payments occur directly between Users and Providers.

- Improve platform reliability

Providers may store and use booking information according to their own privacy practices. Tripshaper is not responsible for how Providers manage personal data after receiving it. Users are encouraged to review Provider privacy practices independently.
7 — Sponsored Listings and Advertising
Tripshaper may display:
- Sponsored listings
- Promoted placements
These relate only to platform visibility. Tripshaper does not:
- Sell user data to advertisers
- Share private communications with advertisers
Advertising does not involve behavioral tracking.
8 — Data Storage and Security
Tripshaper uses commercially reasonable safeguards to protect data. Security measures may include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Secure cloud storage
- Access controls
- Authentication safeguards
- Backup systems
However: No system is completely secure.
Users acknowledge that internet-based transmission carries inherent risk. Tripshaper cannot guarantee absolute data security.

- Account data — until account deletion
- Booking data — retained to support reservation history
- Messages — until deleted or inactive
- Listings — until removed

10 — Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account. Upon deletion:
- Personal account data is removed
- Profile content is removed

Backup copies may persist temporarily. Some data may be retained when required for:

- Fraud prevention

These services may collect limited technical data. Their privacy policies apply independently. Tripshaper is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

Tripshaper does not use:
